Code of Conduct

1. Scope of Application

1.1 The Managing Committee of Power 100 has established this Code of Conduct to ensure the integrity of cricket, promote the sport, and safeguard the well-being of all participants.

1.2 This Code of Conduct provides a structured framework to uphold both the spirit and laws of cricket. All participants of Power 100 (players, parents, team officials, umpires) must adhere to it. Any misconduct will be addressed by the Management/Disciplinary Committee fairly and promptly.

1.3 All matches shall be played in the true spirit of cricket.

1.4 No player or official shall engage in conduct unbecoming of the game.

1.5 All members must respect:

  • Opponents
  • Their team and captain
  • Umpires
  • Traditional values of cricket

1.6 Safety and security of all students must be prioritized.

2. Code of Conduct for Players

2.1 All players are bound by this Code.

2.2 Players and parents agree:

  • To understand all rules and offenses
  • To accept decisions of the Disciplinary Committee
  • Not to pursue disputes in external courts

3. Offenses for Players

Players must:

  • Not damage equipment or facilities
  • Accept umpire decisions without dissent
  • Avoid abusive language or gestures
  • Avoid excessive appealing, aggression, or physical misconduct
  • Avoid ball tampering
  • Not engage in match-fixing or betting
  • Maintain discipline, punctuality, and proper attire
  • Use safety gear (helmets, etc.)
  • Avoid alcohol during play

4. Code of Conduct for Umpires

Umpires must:

  • Maintain neutrality and professionalism
  • Avoid public/media statements harming cricket or Power 100
  • Not engage in betting or illegal activities
  • Ensure fair play and intervene when required
  • Avoid alcohol during matches
 

5. Code of Conduct for Parents

Parents must:

  • Encourage fair play and sportsmanship
  • Respect officials and decisions
  • Support children positively
  • Avoid abusive language
  • Ensure child safety and discipline
  • Not engage in betting or misconduct

6. Code for Coaches / Officials

Officials must:

  • Ensure discipline and fair play
  • Avoid coaching during matches
  • Maintain proper dress code
  • Respect all participants
  • Prioritize children’s safety
  • Avoid misconduct, abuse, or betting

7. Sanctions

  • Violations will lead to suspension or termination from Power 100
  • The decision of the Committee will be final

8. Amendments

  • Power 100 may update this policy anytime
  • Invalid provisions won’t affect the remaining policy

Appendix A (Anti-Corruption Rules)

Any participant of Power 100 is in violation if they:

  • Bet on matches/events
  • Encourage betting
  • Fix or manipulate matches
  • Share confidential match info for benefit
  • Fail to report suspicious activities
